Each month a new custom glove is created and highlighted for a social media giveaway. I was tasked with creating a video or animation for the Rawlings Custom Glove of the Month promotion. After several initial variations we all settled on a direction in which to proceed. The logo was then provided to me, and I animated to match with the final frame.
October’s Glove of the Month, was not used do to external issues.
When this job was initially created, I started by researching various commercial types, styles, and shooting angles to get some ideas flowing. That led to some quick sketches and lists, then I filtered it down to a few angles and camera moves I wanted to film. I did a quick set of style frames and brought that with me to keep the direction cohesive.
After filming the first glove of the month footage, I knew I was going to need to film the other glove of the month versions in a similar way. I decided to make a more detailed template to take with me on the shoots.
